Coco Jones Scores First RIAA Certification With ‘ICU’

R&B

Coco Jones continues to make strides in her blossoming music career. The rising singer has achieved her first award from the Recording Industry Association (RIAA) for her current single “ICU.”

The Camper-produced hit has been certified gold by the RIAA for selling more than 500,000 equivalent units.

Jones’ new RIAA certification comes a week after “ICU” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart — another first for the multitalented act. (It’s still No. 1 at the time of publication, tallying a two-week domination for Jones.)

Elsewhere on Billboard, “ICU” is approaching the top 10 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart. At the time of publication, “ICU” is No. 12, which is its peak position. The song has been on the Adult R&B Airplay chart for seven weeks and counting.

“ICU” is also approaching the top of the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart; it’s currently No. 2.

On Spotify, “ICU” has surpassed 20 million streams.

“ICU” is lifted from Jones’ debut EP, What I Didn’t Tell You, released in November 2022 via High Standardz/Def Jam Recordings.

What I Didn’t Tell You is all about the stories that happen off camera,” Jones explained. “This project will hopefully share my real-life experiences with my fans and show them that I’m just like them. Sometimes people see me as the characters I play, but these stories are my own script.”

In January, Jones followed up with What I Didn’t Tell You (Deluxe), which included four bonus tracks.

This weekend, Jones will head to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to perform at Roots Picnic
