Clint Eastwood’s Longtime Girlfriend Has Died

Country

Clint Eastwood’s longtime partner Christina Sandera has died. She was 61 years old and had been in a relationship with the actor since 2014.

Eastwood confirmed the news in a statement that reads, “Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much.”

  • Eastwood was previously married to Maggie Johnson (1953-1984) and Dina Ruiz (1996-2014).
  • He also dated Sondra Locke, Jacelyn Reeves and Frances Fisher.
  • He has eight children.

No cause of death for Sandera was provided. While they kept details of their romance private, she’s walked several red carpets with Eastwood, including one to celebrate his 2018 film The Mule. The reportedly met while she was working as a restaurant hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch hotel in Carmel, Calif. in 2014.

Photos of Eastwood and Sandera first appeared in June 2014, and they attended the Oscars together the next February.

At 94, Eastwood continues to work. The Hollywood Reporter points out that his film Juror No. 2 is in post-production. It’s his 40th as a director to go with dozens as an actor.

Country fans may recall him in films like Honkytonk Man (1982) and the dozens of Westerns he starred in in decades prior. Toby Keith famously wrote “Don’t Let the Old Man” in for The Mule and re-released it as his final radio hit months before his death.
