Ciara, Gap and LoveShackFancy Announce New Collection

R&B

Ciara has teamed with Gap and LoveShackFancy to become the face of a new limited-edition capsule collection of apparel and accessories for every generation of men, women, and children.

Mark Breitbard, Gap’s global president and CEO, said, “Collaborations and partnerships give us the opportunity to reinvent and reimagine Gap’s product icons, to remix the classic Gap logo that our customers love. The collection is unique and unexpected, and I’m excited for customers around the world across every generation to experience a little piece of the magic created with LoveShackFancy.”

Rebecca Hessel Cohen, founder and creative director of LoveShackFancy, added, “Re-imagining iconic Gap classics for all generations through our LoveShackFancy lens has been a dream. Each piece is the perfect mix of nostalgia and freshness that you’ll live in forever and won’t find anywhere else. I couldn’t be more excited for this collection to bring some of our magical world to even more people around the world for them to fall in love with.”

According to the press release, the “collection brings a fresh take to classic denim, pastels and logo, incorporating neutral tones, floral prints, whimsical textures and fabrics showcasing a romantic and nostalgic twist to Gap’s signature arch logo typeface.”

The collection will include jeans, skirts, dresses, pants, hoodies, button-downs, outerwear, and accessories for men, women, kids and babies to enjoy. Prices range from $13 to $248.

Speaking of children, Ciara is joined in the campaign by her oldest son Future and her daughter Sienna. It helps to unite them as the new capsule collection features shared styles and prints that can spark family-matching moments.

This isn’t Future’s first time working with Gap. He modeled for Gap Kids as part of its back-to-school campaign in 2017.

The Gap x LoveShackFancy collection will be available starting Friday, Aug. 4, online and in select stores in the U.S. and globally.

Ciara attended the Gap x LoveShackFancy launch event last night (Aug. 1), wearing a denim look and rocking platinum-blonde hair.

Aside from her new partnership, Ciara has been heavily involved in music. She joined Indonesian artist AGNEZ MO for the song “Get Loose” and co-wrote Monica’s latest track, “Letters.”

Prior to this, Ciara teamed with Big Freedia and Jackson Wang for respective releases.

Ciara’s last solo single, “Da Girls,” came out in March. She shared two alternate versions of the empowering anthem, including one that featured Lola Brooke and Lady London and another that brought Derrick Milano on board.

Last year, Ciara issued two singles, including “Jump” featuring Coast Contra and the Summer Walker-assisted “Better Thangs.” The former track made waves on Billboard, while the other received a GloRilla-guested remix.

All three standard tracks are set to appear on Ciara’s untitled eighth album, which she declared to be “super R&B.”
