Chris Brown Joins J. Valentine on New Song ‘UnLonely’

R&B

J. Valentine has teamed with Chris Brown for his new single “UnLonely.” They co-wrote the song with Lonny Bereal and TVerse.

The Tank-produced track is an anthem for independent women. Speaking on the song, J. Valentine exclusively tells Rated R&B, “Just because a woman chooses to be alone, doesn’t mean she’s lonely.”

As for reuniting with Breezy, Valentine says, “Our last collab was the ‘UP’ R&B remix [in 2011], so it was only right that we made another banger for my comeback!”

“UnLonely” is the fifth song shared from J. Valentine’s forthcoming debut album, Conversations With Women. He previously shared “Me On Me,” “The Day After, “Before The Streets” and “Thank Me For That.”

As Valentine indicated above, he and Brown are no strangers to collaborating. In 2010, Valentine joined Brown’s “My Girl Like Them Girls” from his In The Zone 2 mixtape. The following year, they teamed up for Brown’s “Marvins Room (Remix)” from his mixtape Boy in Detention. In 2012, Brown appeared on Valentine’s song “Bed Bath & Beyond.”

Brown recently appeared on the 100th episode of Tank and J. Valentine’s R&B Money PodcastIn the 90-minute conversation, Brown reflected on his early beginnings in the music industry, his evolution as an artist, becoming a businessman, his top five R&B songs and singers, and much more.
