Chlöe’s New Album ‘In Pieces’ Debuts on Billboard

R&B

Chlöe’s debut album, In Pieces, has hit the charts. The album enters Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart at No. 17.

According to Billboard, the chart reflects “the week’s most popular albums, as compiled by Luminate, based on multi-metric consumption blending traditional album sales, track equivalent albums and streaming (audio + video) equivalent albums.”

This marks Chlöe’s third appearance on the Top R&B Albums chart. Her best came when Ungodly Hour, the sophomore album by Chloe x Halle, started at No. 2 in 2020. Before that, she and her sister Halle Bailey opened at No. 19 with their 2018 debut album, The Kids Are Alright.

In Pieces begins at No. 119 on the Billboard 200. It’s Chlöe’s first set as a solo artist to arrive on the popular albums chart.

Previously, Ungodly Hour, which shifted 24,000 equivalent album units, gave Chloe x Halle their first top 20 start on the Billboard 200. It faired better than their debut album, The Kids Are Alright, which landed at No. 139.

In Pieces included the singles “Pray It Away” and “How Does It Feel” featuring Brown. The latter track debuted at No. 7 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart the week that ended March 11.

Rated R&B’s Edward Dave reviewed In Pieces, declaring it “a testament to her ability to endure and put it all into the music.”
