Carrie Underwood’s Favorite Workout Song will Surprise You |

Metal

You might wonder why we’re covering Carried Underwood, but it’s because she’s a metalhead, of course! She just launched her own workout channel, and apparently, her favorite workout song is “Watch the World Burn” by Falling In Reverse.

Her SeriusXM channel, cleverly titled “Carr-dio,” proudly features the song. Underwood is a known rock and metal fan, as in the past, she’s come out as a big supporter of the band I Prevail, and toured with Guns ‘N Roses. So it’s no surprise that there’s some heavy stuff on her workout playlist. She has also covered a Motörhead song and done a Skid Row cover.

“I like stuff that I can either dance to or get mad with—It kind of depends on my mood and what I’m doing,” she says about the playlist.

The playlist itself is diverse, as Underwood appears to listen to all genres. So it makes sense that she’s a Falling In Reverse fan, since the song “Watch the World Burn” itself includes rap, trap, and symphonic elements incorporated into the metalcore sound.

“It switches gears a lot, and it’s kind of an epic song,” Underwood says about the track. “Whenever you get a song that is just epic—like, it’s long and visual and switching cadence—I always think that’s cool. So that one gets me going.”

Choosing to be super supportive rather than gatekeep, Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke had an awesome reaction to the shout-out, sharing it on Twitter and acknowledging her fandom with a simple “Awesome Carrie!”

This pat summer, Radke made some negative headlines when he cancelled a run of shows due to air quality from the Canadian wildfires, a cold venue, health issues, and a run of other excuses that lead fans to question why so many shows were being cancelled and what was actually going on. Hopefully this added boost of online love will get the band pumped to tour this year and actually make it to most or all of their scheduled dates.
