Butterfly Ali Asks What the ‘Truth Is’ on New Song

R&B

Many within the Black community are still left searching for answers in the wrongful deaths of unarmed Black individuals; Butterfly Ali is one of them and expresses it in his new song called “Truth Is.”

Ali shared in a press statement he used his affecting voice for this song to “open up more conversations” about “how we, as a people, are just expected to believe/digest any twisted information we may be given about any over-publicized news heading.”

Alongside the second offering from his upcoming Preacher’s Kid EP, out June 11, Ali unleashed an accompanying visual directed by Avid Eghbali. In the video, Ali stands in front of a projector screen with various Black Lives Matter and other Civil Rights images and video clips reflecting upon him.

Aside from “Truth Is,” other songs expected on Preacher’s Kid include “Testimony” and “Pray For ‘Em.”
