Boxer Shakur Stevenson Blasts “Fake Pastor” Ma$e Over Criticism Of His Last Fight

Hip Hop

Shakur Stevenson is hitting back at Ma$e after the rapper-turned-podcaster criticized the boxer’s last fight.

The WBC lightweight champion defended his belt against Artem Harutyunyan last Saturday (July 6), at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

However, Stevenson was booed in the ring, and some fans even left the arena during the fight, unimpressed with his tactical display as Harutyunyan went the distance despite being outmatched.

Ma$e shared his take on the fight during the latest episode of his sports talk show with Cam’ron, It Is What It Is.

“I don’t want to see Shakur fight, I’m just gonna be honest,” he began. “No disrespect to Newark, but I don’t wanna see Shakur fight nobody. For him to be hanging out with Terence Crawford and Andre Ward, there is absolutely no way that he’s fighting the way he’s fighting.”

Shakur Stevenson clapped back at Ma$e on X (Twitter). “Same way I felt bout his rap career,” he wrote. “N#### more famous for his podcast then his failed career.”

Social media users were quick to correct Stevenson, defending Ma$e’s career and noting his accolades.

The Is What It Is Instagram account also responded by telling Stevenson Ma$e, “SOLD 5 MILLION COPIES & WENT QUADRUPLE PLATINUM,” when the boxer was just a newborn. “WE JUST CALLING IT HOW EVERYBODY ELSE SEE IT,” the post said.

Nonetheless, Stevenson continued, blasting Ma$e and others in his replies. “Mase is built like a d### wit a egg head HEY ARNOLD HEAD ASS N####,” he said, responding to another It Is What It Is segment.

“Mass was a fake pastor Surviving Diddy ass n####,” he wrote. “F### Mase yall n##### crazy i don’t respect nun of these b#### ass n##### and yall ain’t gone make me respect them, Surviving diddy ass bull.”

“And tell them n##### watch the way they talk on that podcast cause Ian ducking no smoke,” he added. “Lil ole me ready to go to war wit all these soft ass n#####.”

Stevenson continued, claiming Ma$e and Cam’ron were “the n##### hanging around the legends.” Despite calling their podcast “boring,” the boxer said he would come on the show and “cook them on they own platform.”

Whether Ma$e and Cam’ron have Shakur Stevenson on the podcast remains to be seen. Check out some of his posts below.
