BJ The Chicago Kid has released a lovey-dovey video for his Coco Jones-assisted track “Spend The Night.”
In the video, directed by Tajana Tokyo (Beyoncé, Janelle Monáe), BJ The Chicago Kid arrives at the diner for work. Still, his attention is diverted when a coworker informs him that his love interest is sitting in a booth.
He daydreams of being a retro crooner in a juke joint, trying to impress a foxy mama. Jones is part of a dream, wearing a sexy, fuzzy outfit and dancing with two other women.

“Spend The Night” is the third song BJ The Chicago Kid released this year.
“Music is like a journey, and with our new song, we’ve taken an exciting detour from our standard sounds. It’s an experimental experience. Sometimes, you have to wander off the beaten path to discover a whole new world of creativity,” he shared upon its release.
Jones added, “Working with BJ was such an awesome experience. I am always so inspired by artists who love what they do. I think this song, with our tones together, is something really special.”
This year, BJ The Chicago Kid released “Liquor Store In The Sky” featuring Freddie Gibbs and “Forgot Your Name” upon signing with RCA Records through a joint venture with Yeti Beats’ Reach The World Records.
“With Yeti lending his creative magic to some of the biggest acts in the world, and BJ the Chicago Kid being the seasoned soulful, and distinguished voice in R&B he’s become, RCA could not have been more excited to get behind this bold and unique collaborative project,” RCA Records said in a statement.
All three of the abovementioned songs will appear on BJ’s upcoming collaborative album with Yeti Beats.
Their upcoming project was recorded at Royal Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, where soul legend Al Green recorded his iconic albums Let’s Stay Together and I’m Still in Love with You.
Jones is currently on the second leg of her What I Didn’t Tell You Tour, which began in early October and will conclude on Nov. 12 at the Honeyland Festival.
Mary J. Blige will headline the festival. Other performers include Lucky Daye, Tems, Paul Wall, Scarface and more.
Jones is touring to support her debut project, What I Didn’t Tell You, which is available in standard and deluxe versions.
The project features her breakthrough single, “ICU,” produced by Camper. The song topped multiple Billboard charts and reached No. 1 on urban radio. Currently, the hit single is certified gold by the RIAA.
Solo music aside, Jones teamed with Brent Faiyaz for his 2023 track “Moment Of Your Life.” The song samples Nicole Wray’s (now known as Lady Wray) 1998 classic, “Boy You Should Listen.”
