Biz Markie Passes Away At 57

The Clown Prince of Hip-Hop Biz Markie has died at the age of 57.

TMZ reports Biz Markie, born Marcell Hall, passed away at 6:25 pm local time at a Baltimore hospital on Friday (Jul. 7). Biz was hospitalized due to health complications. In 2020, he suffered a stroke related to his Type 2 diabetes.

The New York rapper, actor, DJ, and producer is best known for his humor in music, who spawned the underground classics “Vapors”, “Nobody Beats The Biz”, and his hit “Just A Friend”.
