ASTRO singer Cha Eun-woo has made his solo debut with his first mini-album, ‘Entity’.

ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo co-wrote all six songs on ‘Entity’, which is led by the single ‘Stay’. Along with the release of the project, the K-pop idol also dropped a cinematic music video for ‘Stay’.

According to a statement by his label Fantagio, ‘Entity’ is meant to represent Cha Eun-woo’s resolve to “live honestly while accepting all of [him]self”, per Korea JoongAng Daily.

This weekend, Cha Eun-woo will kick-off his solo 2024 ‘Just One 10 Minute: Mystery Elevator’ tour with a show in Seoul, South Korea. Thereafter, the singer will also play concerts in Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and more.

Although ‘Entity’ is the singer’s official solo debut, he already has a handful of solo songs to his name. Many of the releases served as soundtracks for K-dramas he starred in, including 2023’s ‘Jealousy’ from A Good Day to be a Dog and ‘Love So Fine’ from True Beauty in 2021.

Back in 2022, Cha Eun-woo and his fellow ASTRO bandmates all released solo songs, as part of their third studio album ‘Drive to the Starry Road’. The singer co-wrote his solo song ‘First Love’ for that release.

In other news, Ahn Hyo-seop recently covered ‘Standing Next to You’ by BTS‘ Jungkook during a solo concert. The Korean-Canadian actor was notably once a K-pop idol trainee under JYP Entertainment.
