The D.C. native took to Instagram to share the news. “My new album Vacancy will be yours on Jan 23 and my new single Under The Moon is out now,” Lennox wrote in a joint post with Vacancy Motel, an account that serves as a hub for her new era.

Vacancyis preceded by the title track and “Soft Girl Era,” both produced by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox.As Lennox noted in the announcement, the album will also include the latest single, “Under The Moon,” which is out today (Oct. 23).

The vintage soul track, produced by longtime collaborator Elite, Ron Gilmore, Dave James and Tommy Parker, howls with emotion as she recounts a fatal attraction she can’t escape — one that leaves her spellbound.

“He was sweet to a tea,” she sings in the opening verse before becoming addicted to his love, even as she admits, “Know I should go, pulling me close / I don’t feel right.”
