Anthony Hamilton’s ‘You Made a Fool of Me’ Reaches Top 10 on R&B Radio

At No. 10 this week on R&B radio is Anthony Hamilton’s “You Made a Fool of Me,” released back in early May.

The vocally passionate track is Hamilton’s first R&B radio-readied song since last year’s Rick James-assisted “Back Together” and his first trip inside the top 10 rankings here since 2016’s number-one single “Amen.” The former track, produced by 9th Wonder, nearly crashed a top 10 party on R&B radio, remaining a top 20 contender.

“You Made a Fool of Me” is the first taste of Hamilton’s next studio album, which is slated to be a collaborative effort between him and Jermaine Dupri, who co-produced the new song alongside Manual Seal. The anticipated album release is set for this August, serving as the follow-up to 2016’s What I’m Feelin’.

Last year, Hamilton released the urgent track “Mercy” featuring Tamika D. Mallory.
