Andra Day Returns With New Single ‘Where Do We Go’

R&B

Andra Day is back. The Grammy-winning singer and Oscar-nominated actress has released her new song, “Where Do We Go.”

The soul-stirring ballad finds Day yearning to reconnect with a former love. As much as she wants to give into temptation, she reminds herself that “we closed that door.”

“Just passing through your neighborhood / From down on Woodman / I really should slide / Don’t look like that / I’m gon’ miss my flight / And we can’t fall right back up in it,” Day sings.

“Where Do We Go” is the first offering from Day’s third album, Cassandra, out this spring on Warner Records. Cassandra is described as Day’s “most personal body of work to date.”

The upcoming album will mark her first project since 2021’s The United States vs. Billie Holiday soundtrack, which included the standout “Tigress & Tweed” that she co-wrote and co-produced with Raphael Saadiq

Day, who starred as Billie Holiday in the film, won Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media at the 64th Grammy Awards. Additionally, Day scored a nod for Best Actress at the 93rd Oscars.

In 2023, Day collaborated with BJ The Chicago Kid on “Crazy Love” from his latest album, Gravy

On Feb. 11, Day will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at Super Bowl LVIII, where Usher will headline the halftime show
