And the 2022 Bullsh*t Metal Grammy Goes To…

Metal

Dream Theater! Aw, what the FUCK?

Yup, Dream Theater won this year’s Best Metal Performance Grammy for their track “The Alien.” This is especially wack because everyone knows that if anyone really should have won this year’s Best Metal Performance Grammy, it should’ve been Gojira.

The other nominees for this year’s award were as follows:

  • Deftones, “Genesis”
  • Gojira, “Amazonia”
  • Mastodon, “Pushing the Tides”
  • Rob Zombie, “The Triumph of King Freak (A Crypt of Preservation and Superstition)”

From everyone here at MetalSucks, wack choice, wack awards, such is life. The Grammys will never understand us, the Academy will never recognize metal that hasn’t been around for forever, and the 2019 High On Fire win will probably be the award’s pinnacle forevermore.
