Alex Isley and her production collaborator Jack Dine have recruited Robert Glasper for their new single, “Still Wonder.”
Glasper plays the warm keys on this tune where Isley remains lost in thought about a past lover she can’t seem to get off her mind.
According to Isley, “Still Wonder” is the final song to be released ahead of her next album. She issued the collaborative EP Wilton alongside Dine in November 2019.
After last year’s intimate, Masego-assisted “Good & Plenty,” Isley returned with its official remix featuring Lucky Daye in March. She followed with a guitar-laden cover of “At Your Best (You Are Love),” which her father Ernie Isley of legendary The Isley Brothers performed and co-wrote.
Glasper released “Shine” featuring Tiffany Gouché and D Smoke prior to his Robtober residency this fall. The offering came after the official release of “Show Me Your Soul,” featuring Lalah Hathaway. He is still readying his Black Radio 3 album.
