Alestorm Drop Video for “Voyage of the Dead Marauder” |

Metal

Pirate metal outfit Alestorm have released “Voyage of the Dead Marauder” ahead of their EP of the same name which will drop March 22 via Napalm Records.

Vocalist Chris Bowes says about the new music:

“Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of being in one of those female fronted symphonic metal bands where all the identikit-looking guys are blurry and in the background while a lady stands at the front and does some insane vocals. Thanks to Patty Gurdy all my dreams have come true! I hope you like this song, we all think it’s nice. PLPLPLPLPL! My favorite part is when the cat turns into a skeleton.”

The band are also heading out on tour this March with Elvenking and Glyph. They’ll be crossing the U.S. and Canada.

About the tour, Bowes says:

“I am reliably informed that Canada and the USA are countries, so it only seems fitting that we play a few shows there. We’ll even play some new songs, as an inevitable consequence of releasing a new EP. We hope you enjoy it; it’ll be very awkward for all parties involved if you don’t. See you there!”
