Aaron Taylor Releases New Single ‘For Sure’

R&B

Rising singer-songwriter Aaron Taylor expresses his enduring love on his new single “For Sure,” which he wrote and produced.

On “For Sure,” Taylor showcases his sophisticated and mature R&B sound while dedicating the song to a special someone for whom he can be fully devoted.

Regarding the inspiration for his new single, Taylor says, “‘For Sure’ is about reassuring someone you love that what you have together can last forever despite the constant changes of life. It’s a self-produced track that musically it draws on one of my main influences, Stevie Wonder, but also shows an edge that isn’t too dissimilar to my modern favourites like Frank Ocean and I’m proud that I didn’t abandon it. As the lyrics pledge, there’s value in sticking with something till the end.”

“For Sure” is Taylor’s first proper single since his 2023 EP, HAVE A NICE DAY! which arrived during Mental Health Awareness Month (May).

The five-track effort includes his previously shared tracks “Ebbs and Flow” and “Coffee in the Morning.”

Speaking on the project, Taylor previously explained, “The EP went through several variations and tracklist selections, and eventually, I noticed a theme of what I describe as a ‘day in the life’ of Aaron Taylor. There are songs about morning coffee, about wanting to have a nice day, about just taking it easy.”

Taylor plans to include “For Sure” on a deluxe version of HAVE A NICE DAY! which is set to arrive sometime later this year.

HAVE A NICE DAY! follows Taylor’s 2020 debut album, ICARUS, which arrived in 2020. It was among Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2020 list.
