Aaliyah ‘One In A Million’ Hits DSPs

On the 20th anniversary of her death, Aaliyah’s sophomore album, One In A Million, has been made available on all digital streaming platforms.

The album, which was released on August 27, 1996, featured contributions from Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Jermaine Dupri, Rodney Jerkins, Slick Rick, and many more. It debuted at 20 on the Billboard 200 charts and spawned the hit singles including “One In A Million”, “If Your Girl Only Knew”, “Got To Give It Up”, “Hot Like Fire”, and “4 Page Letter”.

More of the late singer’s catalog will be available after it was removed over a decade ago. As part of Blackground Records and EMPIRE’s new partnership, the Romeo Must Die soundtrack will arrive next on September 3, followed by Aaliyah’s third self-titled album, Aaliyah on September. 10, as well as two Aaliyah compilations, I Care 4 U and Ultimate Aaliyah, will both be available October 8. In addition, a posthumous album is in the works, which will feature guests Drake, Future, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, and Timbaland.
