Grounded for Life premiered on Jan. 10, 2001, and brought something a little different to the family sitcom lineup. Instead of perfect parents trying to keep their kids in line, the show followed Sean (Donal Logue) and Claudia Finnerty (Megyn Price), a young Staten Island couple who had their first child as teenagers and were still figuring out adulthood while raising a house full of kids.
The sitcom originally aired on Fox before moving to The WB, where it ran for 5 seasons and 91 episodes before ending in 2005. Richard Riehle, known for playing Walt Finnerty on the show, recently passed away on October 19, 2026, so now is a good time to look back at the cast who made the Finnerty family, and the people around them, so memorable. Plus, see what they look like now!
