True to its name, Italian thrash comboAdversor is raging against authority on new single, “Totem of Doom,” taken from its fourth full-length,This Mortal Coil. We’re offering up a lyric video of said track, which has a distinct old-school Euro thrash vibe. These dudes—Dado (vocals/rhythm guitar), Ale (bass), Phil (lead guitar), Ja (drums)—are clearly well versed in the Kreator, Sodom and Destruction discographies of the ’80s. This is bestial thrash, more concerned with feral energy than technical mastery.
Final mixing and mastering of This Mortal Coil was completed in March 2026 and it’s set for release via Selvajaria Records on November 6. You can find the label’s online store here.
Vocalist/guitarist Dado had this to say about Adversor’s latest single:
“‘Totem of Doom’ is a warning scream. It is exactly what is happening in the world right now: people are protesting the power for their rights and to stop the evil wave that is crawling in the dark. The song talks about how the people got brainwashed from the power and how dangerous it is to simply follow a so-called leader (or messiah) without any questions, or without thinking. I’m describing what I’m just witnessing… Stand up for your rights, be the change!”
