A burnt orange edition of Wayne’s 2009 mixtape reaches independent shops November 27, with Kobe Bryant included in the pressing.

Lil Wayne’s No Ceilings is heading to vinyl for the first time, with a burnt orange pressing limited to 5,000 copies for Record Store Day Black Friday.

The Young Money release is scheduled for November 27, according to Record Store Day’s announcement about its 2026 Black Friday titles.

The record is listed at $39.99, and the listing confirms the edition includes “Kobe Bryant.”

The release gives the 2009 mixtape a new physical format 17 years after it first reached listeners. The announcement is part of this week’s Black Friday rollout, not a new Lil Wayne recording session.

Record Store Day puts limited releases into independent record shops, with separate selections and store arrangements across markets.

Wayne’s tape has already had more than one life online. Apple Music’s current edition contains 12 songs and runs about 45 minutes.

That streaming lineup includes “Surf Swag,” “YM Wasted,” “Shoes” and “Banned.” Drake appears on “I’m Single,” while other listed guests include Tyga, Gudda Gudda and Lucci Lou.

“Kobe Bryant” closes the set.

Wayne later expanded No Ceilings into a series. AllHipHop covered the third installment on November 27, 2020, another Black Friday release. DJ Khaled hosted that project, which featured Drake, Young Thug and Young Money artists.

“The mixtape game seemed to be a dying art,” Wayne said then. He described the format as a major part of his career and said he wanted to bring it back.

Wayne shares the November 27 date with 2Pac’s Pac’s Life anniversary edition. That two-LP release marks the 2006 album’s 20th anniversary, with brown vinyl and new packaging.

For the vinyl event, store rules matter as much as the release date. Amoeba says it will sell its Black Friday titlesin stores on November 27 on a first-come basis, with one copy per title per customer and no holds or phone orders.

Amoeba plans to put remaining stock online at 5 A.M. Pacific on November 28.
