One-man funeral doom bandComploratio first emerged last month, releasing a nine-minute single simply called “Untitled.” They’re back today with “I,” the lead track on their self-titled album.
Once again clocking in at nearly nine minutes, Comploratio have a strong grasp on atmosphere, conjuring a feeling of death and darkness as the opening notes play out. The song unfolds slowly, with reverberating guitars eventually giving way to a full-band outing but the space never feels wasted or stretched out unnecessarily.
Fittingly,Comploratiowill be released on Halloween and is available for pre-order via Bandcamp.
