Another week at work at work completed, with another two short days of ‘rest’ (i.e. errands), and then a brand new week of work to look forward to –the joys.
At a certain point, the only thing that brings me joy is spending money –it’s the only thing that seems to rattle these bones anymore, or get what used to be my adrenaline system… feeling like it’s pumping. The afterlife is boring is fuck, and even more so, when you’re still stuck on this realm of existence and need to work. Even if you’re dead. Just a glimpse at your future, folks. Look at it. It’s pretty green, and not in the good way.
So, instead of making one group of people happy with a specified grouping of releases on vinyl each week, here’s a little bit for everyone in the reluctant audience.
Cancer Bats –Give Me Dirt

Canadian hardcore-sludge unit Cancer Bats dropped their first LP in four years today, and their first with their new guitarist. Features galore, this record also has a little bit for everyone: bright pink vinyl, filled to the brim with riffs as well as appearances from Converge‘s Nate Newton, Brooklyn Doran, and Death By Stereo‘s Efrem Schulz, and a very good time.
Electric Callboy –Tanzneid

Tanzneid comes from German metal-EDM fusion group –say that three times fast, and no, it’s not just difficult because I’m missing part of my tongue –Electric Callboy, who have printed their newest LP on a gorgeous lavender that coincides with their album artwork. As mentioned last week, pretty shapes and pretty colors make my mammalian brain go ‘brrr,’ this is a pretty immediate winner.
Hypocrisy –End Of Disclosure

Heh, the cover art and I bare a striking resemblance, if I do say so myself. Regardless, melodic death metal unit Hypocrisy have reissued their twelfth studio LP, End Of Disclosure, as well as some of their other catalogue, on some more fun and pretty colors. They’re offering this specific record on a coke bottle green color, and through their record label, Nuclear Blast. Picked purely for selfish reasons, I must admit.
Sleep Token –Even In Arcadia (Instrumental)

And, to round out this week’s chaos, maybe try an instrumental for a change? Try and lower your blood pressure a bit before you end up looking like me? Fine, if you’re willing to meet me in the middle –heh, pun absolutely intended –here is an instrumental, somewhat metal album. It’ll have your riffs, and it’ll also be a little less scream-less. Save that for when you’re in hell, trust me, it doesn’t stop. It was released before, but it’s now available on vinyl again.
Rigor Morrissey, signing off.
