Dream Theater Revives Lost Not Forgotten Archives Series with Live in Tokyo, 2010

Metal

If you’re a lover of live albums, especially those of the progressive kind, then Dream Theater is yet again going to rock your figurative socks off. As if they haven’t been doing the most (in a good way) lately, they’re blessing us yet again with something from their vault. They’re still on the road riding the Parasomnia train, yet they’ve still managed to guarantee us another treat with the revival of their “Lost Not Forgotten Archives” series and its upcoming release. Next on the docket is Live in Tokyo, 2010, due out on March 13.

There’s something extra special about this one—the concert the performance is pulled from, which took place at the Summer Sonic festival in Tokyo, Japan back in 2010, obviously, ended up being drummer Mike Portnoy’s last performance with the band until he rejoined them in 2023. I’m sure that was something to see, but at least we can travel back in time with our ears and hear it.

Live In Tokyo, 2010 will be available in several forms, including a special-edition CD digipak, gatefold white 180g 2LP, limited gatefold white-lilac marble 180g 2LP, limited gatefold fig cream 180g 2LP and as a digital album.
