R&B singer Tweet is back with her new single “Toot Toot,” out via SoNo Recording Group.
The previously unreleased track, originally intended for 2005’s It’s Me Again, will appear on her upcoming album Memoirs of a Southern Hummingbird.
On “Toot Toot,” Tweet bids farewell to a love interest whose true colors are anything but bright, prompting her to protect her peace by moving on.
“From the first moment I saw you / I knew I had to have you / A big strong spell you put on me / And as each day that I’m near you / I want more of you / But you keep raising hell, so I’ll let you be,” Tweet sings in the opening verse.

“Toot Toot” was produced by Walter W. Millsap III and James “J2M” Owens Jr. It marks Tweet’s first single release since 2021’s “Neva Gonna Break My Heart Again.”
Speaking on “Toot Toot,” Tweet notes, “I’ve always wanted to set the record straight about the hiatus… So many unreleased records… I never stopped creating. I kept recording, kept writing, kept living.”
She continues, “Now I’m finally in a space to give my fans the real story. All the true gems that never made the cut. This is TWEET! Welcome to the Memoirs of a Southern Hummingbird.”
As indicated above, “Toot Toot” will appear on Tweet’s new album, Memoirs of a Southern Hummingbird,which will release in early 2026.
Memoirswill arrive nearly 10 years after her third studio album,Charlene.The latter LP, titled after Tweet’s real name, included herMissy Elliott-assisted “Somebody Else Will” and “Won’t Hurt Me.”
