Bar Italia announce new album ‘Some Like It Hot’ with frenetic single ‘Fundraiser’

Bar Italia have announced plans to release a new album and shared frenetic single ‘Fundraiser’ – check it out below.

The trio’s fifth LP, ‘Some Like It Hot’, is based on the 1959 film of the same name which starred Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon.

It is the follow up to their 2023 album ‘The Twits’ and will be released on October 17 via Matador. You can pre-order it here.

As a taster, the band have shared new single ‘Fundrariser, the video for which features Matt King who played Super Hans in Peep Show. You can view it below.

Other tracks on the album include ‘Marble Arch’, Bad Reputation, ‘I Make My Own Dust’ and previous single ‘Cowbella‘.

The band are also due to play a one-off sold out album release show at The Dome in London on October 18.

Elsewhere, Yves Tumor and Bar Italia’s Nina Cristante recently joined forces to share a collaborative track called ‘WE DONT COUNT’.

It followed Cristante’s previous singles ‘TWINK’ and ‘Till the devil gets bored’, as well as ‘Discordia’ – a collaborative EP with fellow Roman artist Orazio.

More recently, she composed the original score for her debut film, The Richest Man In Babylon whichis described by her team as a “disquieting meditation on the psychic and ecological fallout of modern austerity”, and one that explores “personal and systemic collapse with seduction, silence, and precision.”

Reviewing Bar Italia’s third studio LP ‘Tracey Denim’ in 2023 which received a four-star review, NME shared: “The 15 impressively arranged tracks on ‘Tracey Denim’ will only bolster Bar Italia’s discography to date, ushering them, whether they like it or not, even further into the spotlight.”
