Soap staple Eva LaRue is set to bid farewell to General Hospital and the character of Natalia Rogers-Ramirez. Natalia and love interest Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) shared an emotional goodbye in the June 30 episode.
LaRue told Soap Opera Digest that fans never took to Natalia and Sonny’s relationship because they “just hated my character so much.” She added, “I was so vilified that no matter what [the writers] did, it just wasn’t a solid enough rehabilitation that they were gonna buy me with Sonny.”
In real life, LaRue has found love several times in her life. Her most high-profile romance was with her All My Children costar.
