R&B singer Justine Skye has inked a deal with Warner Records. She joins a roster that includes Alex Isley, Benson Boone, Dua Lipa, Gary Clark Jr., Teddy Swims and many more.

Along with her label announcement, Skye has released her first single in two years, “Oh Lala.” Produced by Kaytranada, “Oh Lala” is an insistent dance groove that captures the euphoria of instant, inescapable chemistry.

“Let’s take one more then I’m done / We say that every time then do another / Oh we just can’t let go of each other / If you bring that ooh I’ll lalalala,” Skye sings over a sweaty, pulsating beat.

“‘Oh Lala’ is the first single of a new beginning for me, a world where tempo and dance are the leading force. It’s about chasing happiness through movement,” says Skye. “After going through so much emotionally, I hit a point where I just wanted to feel good again.”

She continues, “For me, that happened on the dance floor, being carefree with like-minded people—whether in Brooklyn, L.A., or Ibiza. I wanted to make music that matched that energy. Something sexy, something free, something that lets you forget everything but the moment you’re in.”

“Oh Lala” arrives with a music video, directed by Dora Paphides, which was filmed at the now-closed Paragon nightclub in Brooklyn. Throbbing lights, body rolls and bathroom shenanigans paint a hazy, ecstatic night at the club, where everyone’s hypnotized by the music blaring through the speakers.

“Oh Lala” follows Skye’s 2023 single “Whip It Up,” co-written by Nija Charles. In January of that year, Skye releasedDark Side, a compilation album that included three versions of her sleeper hit “Collide,” featuring Tyga, plus select tracks from her past projects.

In 2021, Skye released her albumSpace and Time, which was produced by Timbaland. The underrated project featured appearances from Timbaland himself, Justin Timberlake (“Innocent”) and Rema (“Twisted Fantasy“).
