Emily Ann Roberts just dropped the kind of music video that hits home for every working woman juggling too many plates and doing it all with a tired grin and a whole lot of grit.

Her brand new video for “Scratching Out a Living” is live now, and it’s part comedy, part chaos, and all heart. You can watch it here.

A Tribute to Real-Life Hustle

Playing a working wife and mother of two, Emily Ann brings to life the madness of spilled cereal, office headaches, and that never-ending to-do list — all while keeping a smile on her face and some serious twang in her voice. If you’ve ever sprinted between soccer practice and a 9-to-5, this one’s for you.

“From the day I wrote this song, I pictured the video,” Roberts said. “I wanted it to feel hectic and include all the scenarios that a working woman finds herself in throughout the day.”

Bonus points for the casting: her husband rocks a wig and dyed beard, her niece and nephew play their kids, and none other than Mac McAnally (the song’s legendary producer) shows up as her hilariously unimpressed boss.

More Than Just a Funny Video

It’s not just comedy — it’s a celebration of the women who keep it all moving even when the wheels are falling off. Directed by Leah Steiger, the video balances chaos with charm, and you can feel the joy and exhaustion in every scene.

This release is just one more highlight in a big year for Emily Ann, who continues to prove that powerhouse vocals and down-home honesty can go hand in hand. With more tour dates and new music on the horizon, we’ll be keeping tabs on everything she’s got coming next.
