The Maccabees announce 2025 European tour

The Maccabees have announced a 2025 European tour, set to kick off this summer. Check out all the dates and ticket information below.

Back in October, the band confirmed the news of their comeback and announced that they’d be taking to the stage at All Points East 2025 in the capital’s Victoria Park on August 24 for their first gig together in eight years.

The performance will coincide with the 10th anniversary of their fourth and final album, ‘Marks To Prove It’. Now, they’ve added further shows to their highly-anticipated reunion, with a string of gigs around Europe.

The tour will kick off on June 22 in Berlin and will see them head to Cologne, Brussels and Amsterdam before wrapping up in Paris.

In the announcement shared to Instagram this morning (March 3), the band wrote: “We won’t have played in any of those places for ten years, give or take, and obviously never imagined we would again so they should be really special.”

Pre-sale begins on Wednesday (March 5) for those signed up for the band’s mailing list (which you can find here), before general sale commences on Friday (March 7) at 9am GMT/10am CET. You’ll be able to get tickets here.

As well as performing their upcoming comeback gig in London, it has also been revealed that The Maccabees will be collaborating with All Points East to curate the full line-up for the day, including “artists that they love, both old and new”.

The first wave of opening artists has been shared, including Bombay Bicycle ClubThe CribsDry CleaningNilüfer YanyaThe Murder Capital, Divorce and Prima Queen.

Other than the brief wedding appearance, The Maccabees haven’t performed together since their last show at London’s Alexandra Palace in 2017.

While preparing for their upcoming reunion shows, the band invited NME into their practice space, where guitarist Felix White told us it felt as if “no time had passed” since they last played together. “It’s so strange. In the chunk [of time] from the last show, you could conceive of The Maccabees as a different existence, but as soon as we started playing, it was as if we hadn’t stopped,” he said.

They also responded to rumours that new music might be on the way, with White explaining: “The plan is to do [All Points East] and see how much we love it,” while drummer Sam Doyle added: “We might hate each other by August.”
