BBGirls (previously known as Brave Girls) have announced their return to music with a new single album titled ‘Love 2’ out next week.

On January 5, an announcement for the new record alongside an image teaser was shared via the band’s social media pages. ‘Love 2’ is scheduled for release on January 15 at 6pm KST, although additional details such as a tracklist have yet to be shared.

‘Love 2’ will mark the trio’s first music in almost a year-and-a-half, with their last release being August 2023’s ‘One More Time’. It will also be their first project since Youjoung left the group last year, leaving Minyoung, Eunji and Yuna.

The forthcoming release of ‘Love 2’ will also mark the K-pop girl group’s first release since their contracts with Warner Music Korea expired in April 2024. “Both Warner Music Korea and BBGirls have mutually agreed to respect each other’s opinions and end the exclusive contract upon its expiration after one year,” the label wrote at the time.

Following their departure from Warner Music Korea, the band launched their own independent label called BB Girls Company, and later signed exclusive contracts with GLG Entertainment for further activities in December 2024.

In other K-pop news, Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation has announced an upcoming 2025 tour called ‘The Tense’, set to kick off in March with a three-night affair at Seoul’s KSPO Dome. The singer will thereafter play shows in a handful of other Asian cities including Taipei, Manila, Singapore, Bangkok and more through to June.
