Track Premiere: Warlung – “White Light Seeker”

Metal

How about a little Texas-style retro doom to dampen those holiday spirits? Houston rumblers Warlung are offering up the second single, “White Light Seeker,” from their upcoming fifth album, The Poison Touch.  This experienced outfit—George Baba (guitar/keys/vocals), Philip Bennett (guitar/vocals). Chris Tamez (bass), Ethan Tamez (drums)—ride a Sabbath-circa-Sabotage riff to doom metal glory with a few nods to the NWOBHM along the way. The production, the vibe, the song all scream  classic’70s doom.

The Poison Touch was recorded by Jacob Rodriguez at King Benny’s House of Sound, and mixed and mastered by Travis Weatherred. It’s set for release on vinyl, CD and digitally via Heavy Psych Sounds on February 14. Place your preorder here (USA) or here.

Says the band:

“This song delves into the restless hours of an eerie night, when all you can do is live in fear or seek the solace of the white light.”
