Yay, some good news! I mean that nonsarcastically, I swear. After what feels like fucking forever, New York hardcore band Biohazard has reunited its original lineup to get in the studio.
Early on Sunday, December 15, the band’s frontman Billy Graziadei posted a pic of him and the rest of the dudes at New Jersey’s Shorefire Recording Studios. Their new album is set to come out next year on Frontiers Label Group’s BLKIIBLK. Graziadei’s caption to the photo expressed quite a bit of excitement, as it should: “Locked down in the studio with these killerz! It’s been blurry few days, endless with no daylight! Focused on closing in on a banger of a record!! #Biohazard #2025 @shorefirerecording.”
Biohazard’s guitarist Bobby Hambel pretty much confirmed everything for sure for sure on The Brooklyn Blast Furnace podcast last month:
“After playing together — what is it? — fucking year and a half, I think we’re ready to lay it down, to start puking out some more fucking stuff. It’s happening, too. It’s heavy shit, too.
“A lot of people say — they give their opinions on what they think we should do,” he continued. “And they’re always asking questions like, ‘Is it gonna be like this album or that album?’, and I can’t really answer any of that. I just can answer it’s coming from the same place it always came from, and I think everybody’s on point. Everybody wants it. So I think it’s time. We’ve got a lot of shit to say.”
