BLACKPINK’s Lisa drops new teaser, begins mysterious countdown

BLACKPINK singer Lisa has released a teaser video and started a seven-day countdown on her website, seemingly in the lead-up to new music.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa unveiled both the teaser and countdown on November 13 at midnight KST. A minute-long video was posted to LLOUD’s social media, soundtracked by the instrumentals of ‘Rockstar’, depicting Lisa walking down and posing on a white runway.

The video was captioned with an electric guitar emoji and the letter ‘L’, meanwhile the seven-day countdown began on her official website and is set to end on November 20.

Although no official announcements have been made, fans speculate that the teasers are for new solo music from Lisa. If so, it will mark the singer’s fourth release this year.

Lisa dropped three new singles in 2024: ‘Rockstar’, the Rosalía-assisted ‘New Woman’. and ‘Moonlit Floor’, the last of which interpolated Sixpence None the Richer’s seminal 1997 hit ‘Kiss Me’. The songs come three years after she made her solo debut with ‘Lalisa’ in 2021.

Lisa is also set to make her small-screen debut in the upcoming third season of HBO’s The White Lotus, which will be set in her home country of Thailand. The streaming service unveiled the first glimpse at the singer’s character, a Thai resort manager named Mook, in a preview earlier this week.

At the MTV EMAs held in Manchester on November 10, Lisa went away with the most wins for a K-pop act with trophies for Best Collaboration for her single ‘New Woman’ with Rosalía as well as Biggest Fans. Meanwhile, quintet LE SSERAFIM bagged the Best Push award.
