Video Premiere: Emissary – “At the Throne of Chaos”

Metal

Barcelona’s Emissary are almost ready to give the world their debut album, Eldritch, early next year. Led by The Evil Dead guitarist Michel Regueiro, Emissary play sharp-edged black-thrash tinged with old-school heavy metal. Though it’ll be a few months before Eldritch sees the light of day, they’ve revealed “At the Throne of Chaos,” the first song from the record.

True to the stated influences, “At the Throne of Chaos” gallops and rips across four minutes. When pressed for an explanation of the track, Emissary told Decibel:

“This was April 30th, and with the dusk would come the hellish Sabbat-time, which all the foreigners and the superstitious old folk feared. It was always a very bad time in Arkham.

“A tale of madness, superstition, and black magic, ‘At the Throne of Chaos’ is merely a first taste of the wonders, horrors, and awe that dwell within our upcoming first full-length!

“Heed The Emissary!”
