Full Album Stream: Eldingar –Lysistrata

Metal

Greek outfit Eldingar may profess to play black metal, but the message conveyed on their second full-length, Lysistrata, is less church-burny and more why-can’t-we-all-get-along. That doesn’t mean that the music is soft or lacking in intensity, though. Lysistrata is laced with pagan folk metal influences, but there’s plenty of typical melodic BM extremism, as well, on the many epics—five of the nine tracks clock in at over 10 minutes—that populate it.

Lysistrata is set for release on vinyl, CD and digitally on November 1 via Vinyl Store Records. Place your preorder here.

This is what the band had to say about its latest effort:

“Our new album, Lysistrata, embodies the dissolution of the army, symbolizing the renunciation of the desire for power alongside the emotional bond of submission. We believe that this revolution could usher in the long-awaited peace, both in the world and within the soul.

At Eldingar, our mission is to convey an anti-war message and a profound reverence for nature, drawing inspiration from ancient Greek philosophy while highlighting sensitivity toward women and humanity. Through our music, we strive to create a uniquely intense experience that transcends the boundaries of metal, resonating deeply with the hearts and minds of our listeners.”
