as reported by WhiskeyRiff – There are so many people who are hurting right now after the devastation from Hurricane Helene left much of North Carolina, South Carolina, east Tennessee and Georgia underwater. Over 200 people have already been confirmed dead, and hundreds more are still missing as rescue crews desperately try to provide aid and reach the hardest-hit areas. The pictures and videos of the devastation are absolutely unthinkable. It’s just heartbreaking to think about those who are suffering so much right now – and even those families still waiting to hear from their loved ones who are without power, cell phones and basic supplies.

But through the tragedy, we’ve seen many in the community and across the country step up to provide aid and help those who are suffering. Earlier this week, Morgan Wallen donated $500,000 to the American Red Cross to help those in his home state of Tennessee, as well as those in western North Carolina, which is just across the border from his hometown. And now he’s ready to do even more.

The country music superstar announced today that his Morgan Wallen Foundation would be partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank to launch the HELP campaign to collect resources and funds for those still in need. The campaign will host a food and water drive on Wednesday, October 9 in Knoxville, where they will be collecting bottled water, pop-top canned food and other “open and eat” foods like protein bars and crackers that don’t require cooking. Donations can be dropped off at the West Town Mall in Knoxville from 6 AM to 7 PM. And they will also be packing relief boxes in Nashville on Wednesday. Additionally, Morgan has released a limited edition “HELP” t-shirt, inspired by his “I Had Some Help” collaboration with Post Malone, with 100% of the proceeds from the shirt going to the Morgan Wallen Foundation to support the Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee and MANNA FoodBank of Western North Carolina.

And for those who aren’t in the area but still want to help, they’re also collecting donations online to support their food drive efforts. Anyone interested in donating can go to the link here to support the food drive, and if you’re interested in picking up a shirt knowing that all of the proceeds are going to a good cause, they can be found on Morgan’s website here. So many people are still in need, but it’s good to see those with the resources stepping up and helping out during this terrible disaster.
