Boston post-metal band Glacier are dropping a heavy-as-hell new record, A Distant, Violent Shudder, a joint release via Wolves & Vibrancy Records and this Friday.

It’s a dark and dismal LP, and one that perfectly incapsulates the bleak present, and you can listen to the full record here before it drops at the end of the week.

“We are excited to finally share our new record, A Distant, Violent Shudder, the band say about the record. “The album as a whole loosely centers around the Dust Bowl of the 1930s and how the times and events parallel the times we are living in now. We started writing the album during the pandemic when things looked incredibly dim, and that hopelessness directly translated into the writing process. We are proud of what we did on our last record, No Light Ever, but wanted to follow it up with a collection of songs that were angry, violent, and even darker than what we did in the past. We believe this record captures those emotions, and we are proud to be champions of despair through our music.”
