Some of us dream of pleasant things like puppies or wealth or a new Necrophagist record. Others of us, like Los Angeles grind weirdos Squid Pisser, prefer to dream of puke. Dreams of Puke came out last month and we’re still trying to wrap our collective head around its high-speed blasts, shrieking guitars and screamed vocals. To make it even more chaotic, they’ve dropped the video for “Gack Action Gods” and it’s a wild one.
Chock full of aliens, blood and bright colors, the video for “Gack Action Gods” moves as quickly as Squid Pisser’s hyperactive grindcore. To alleviate some of the confusion about the video we’re premiering today, Squid Pisser mastermind Tommy Meehan told Decibel:
“‘Gack Action Gods’ is about not settling for anything less than what you want to get out of your life. It’s about not falling into complacency. You can exist inside a prison of your own design and you can dress it up so that it’s comfortable and pretty and safe but is that really what you need?”
