NBA YoungBoy apparently received a bust down chain from Playboi Carti—similar to the one he gave to Ice Spice. On Monday (February 19), NBA YoungBoy delivered his latest video, “No Time,” which included a cameo from his close associate ILoveMakkonen and views of his sprawling Gravedigger Mountain Utah estate.
Upon release, a clip of the video began circulating on social media and the song went viral after fans uncovered NBA YoungBoy’s reference to Playboi Carti—and the gift.
Near the 30-second mark of the video, NBA YoungBoy issues the shoutout to Playboi Carti while seemingly flexing the black diamond tennis chains he was gifted as he raps, “Diamond chain from Carti/Don’t know why he didn’t start me, b###h/I ain’t tryna market, I don’t know why the label bought me.”
Ice Spice went viral earlier this month for her appearance at Super Bowl LVIII, where she was rocking a unique pink and black chain. Some fans interpreted as an upside-down cross and concluded she was a Satanist. But according to TMZ, the Alex Moss-designed necklace was intended to represent a normal cross.
