Cannibal Corpse Make Dog Collars, The Comments are Priceless |

Metal

Cannibal Corpse just dropped a rad line of pet collars and leashes, and according to the comments section, not everyone assumed this new merch line was for dogs.

They are though, for sure, as the line is not a collaboration with a kink brand, but rather with Caninus Collars, a dog collar company. There are also some cat collars in the mix, along with keychains and lanyards. All the merch features their classic, oldschool logo alongside the fetus icon.

But things got a bit spicy in the comment section, and talk wasn’t just of cats and dogs.

Their initial Instagram post reads:

“We’ve got some exclusive pet merch items including leashes and collars available over at @caninus_collars ! Find the link in our bio ????????????????”

Folks in the comments section said things like:

“This is not gonna be used in the way that you think”

“The kinky side of me thinks this is a cute necklace”

“Will this fit a person (asking for a friend)”

My personal favorite reads:

“people are gonna start buying these, and not for their dogs”

It seems that some folks have creative ideas about the collars. We’re thinking that between the kinky fans and the ones legitimately just buying this for their pet, sales will definitely be decent.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Cannibal Corpse have gotten creative with their merch ideas. Earlier this month, they released a canned cold brew called Cranial Extraction as a collaboration with Beheading Brewing. The 500-can drop came along with a bag of coffee and limited edition zombie sticker.

Clearly, Cannibal Corpse are continually making great branding decisions. It just seems that this last one appealed to a different demographic than they realized.
