Glenn Danzig Will Sign Your Sh*t at Verotik Comics Anniversary Event — Just NO CAMERAS

Metal

If you’re in the vicinity of Hollywood tomorrow and want to get a Verotik comic signed by New Jersey’s weirdest heavy metal gnome Glenn Danzig, you’re in luck. From 5 to 7 p.m. at Golden Apple on Melrose, the Misfits frontman and terrible horror flick director will be on hand to sign your shit.

It’s not very often that Danzig makes himself available to the unwashed plebs that buy his shit, but to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his Verotik comics line, he’s going to make an exception. As with most things involving Danzig, however, there are some pretty big caveats:

  • Leave your music-related shit at home. He’s only signing Verotik comics.
  • Leave your old Verotik comics at home. He’s only signing comics you purchase at the event.
  • Leave your collection at home. He’s only signing one thing per person.
  • NO FUCKING PICTURES

That last little rule there really shouldn’t be a surprise, given the long-standing rule at his live shows that no one take any photos of his performances at all ever. Seriously, don’t do it — you’ll get your ass thrown out.

For those that don’t know, Danzig has had his Verotik line since 1994. In that time, the comic line has released a whopping 20 horror comics that — as the name might suggest — feature heavily in the whole “violence” and “sex” side of things, with the series dipping its toes in the fantasy and horror genres pretty liberally.

At tomorrow’s event, attendees will be able to pick up a limited edition Simon Bisley “Virgin Variant,” which Danzig is sure to sign lol for you if you want. Just remember: no. fucking. pictures.
