Fans of thrashy hardcore on the eastern half of the U.S. will want to clear out some dates in their schedule next month, as New York hardcore act Freya will be teaming up with Rig Time! for a nine-date run of shows.
Set to kick off on January 12 in Salisbury, Maryland and coming to an end in Cleveland, Ohio on January 20, the tour will bring both bands out to a venue near you. Maybe. As long as you also live in Virginia, the Carolinas, Kentucky… If you’re in those areas…
For those not in the know, Freya’s been around since 2001. The band was founded by three members of Earth Crisis, bassist Ian Edwards, lead guitarist Eric Edwards, and vocalist Karl Buechner. They released their album Fight As One earlier this year. Their music has been featured on now defunct MTV shows Room Raiders, Road Rules, and Headbangers Ball (remember those shows?!?!).
As for Rig Time!, they’re a duo act comprised of Rebecca Fleming, who handles guitar and bass, and Bryan W. Fleming, who handles vocals, drums, and synth for the act.
