October London Announces ‘The Rebirth of Marvin Tour’

R&B

Rising soul singer October London has announced his headlining The Rebirth of Marvin Tour. He will be joined by fellow rising acts J. Brown and The Shindellas

The Rebirth of Marvin Tour kicks off Jan. 25, 2024, at The Shadowbox in Seattle, Washington.

From there, London will visit major cities across the U.S., including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Chicago.

The tour concludes March 3, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, at The Studio at the Factory.

Presale tickets will be available beginning Thursday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. local time.

London’s tour announcement follows his performance on the BET Amplified Stage at the 2023 Soul Train Awards.

He performed his breakout single “Back to Your Place,” which spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.

The velvety track is lifted from London’s album, The Rebirth of Marvin, released in February via Death Row Records/gamma.

J. Brown will be supporting his sophomore album, The Art of Making Love, released in July via SoNo Recording Group.

The album includes “My Whole Heart,” which spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart.

“When we created ‘My Whole Heart,’ we wanted to come up with a song that would show a woman how much she means to me,” J. Brown explained.

Brown added, “It was something that we all felt was missing in R&B at the moment when we started this project. I wanted the person listening, to feel the raw emotions being delivered and I truly hope the song resonates with them.”

The Art of Making Love also includes a feature from Kevin Ross on “Weightless,” which Ross wrote and produced.

As for The Shindellas, the dynamic trio will be supporting their second album, Shindo, released in October via Weirdo Workshop/Thirty Tigers.

The album includes their first Billboard-charting single “Last Night Was Good for My Soul,” written and produced by their frequent collaborators Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony of Louis York.

“This is definitely an album of confidence,” Stacy of The Shindellas told Rated R&B. “We are showing our femininity, our love and sexuality. It has so much of our own personal stories and perspectives in it.”

Shindo is the follow-up to their debut album, Hits That Stick Like Grits, which was No. 2 on Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2021 list.
