Teenear and Ronnie V Share New Holiday Song ‘Lonely at Christmas’

R&B

Rising R&B singer Teenear has joined forces with fellow emerging act Ronnie V for a new holiday track, “Lonely At Christmas,” via Slip-N-Slide Records.

The Donovan Paul-produced tune is a fresh take on The Emotions’ “What Do The Lonely Do At Christmas?”

Ronnie V opens the song pleading to a former lover for reconciliation. “It’s been a good lil’ minute since I been alone / Patiently waiting on the day that you might come back home,” he sings.

Teenear responds in the second verse with opposing feelings: “I like my peace / At times, I want to be alone / I never imaged the day you come back home / I know it’s been a minute and you miss this / But I had no plans on seeing you this Christmas.”

Then moments later, she has a change of heart: “If what you saying true, then just make a move / I can’t even lie, I been missing you.”

Regarding her new song, Teenear exclusively tells Rated R&B, “For me, this song truly captures the dynamics of many relationships in our generation. Things often feel ‘too complicated,’ but ultimately, no one wants to end up lonely on Christmas.”

“Lonely At Christmas” arrives with an accompanying video directed by Duane Gordon, which can be viewed below.

“Lonely At Christmas” is the follow-up to Teenear’s “Come See Me (Pt. 2)” remix featuring K-Camp, released in July. The original version of “Come See Me” was released in April 2020.

Both versions were produced by Ayo N Keyz (Cardi B, Chris Brown, K. Michelle).
