Regarding the vision behind his album, Faiyaz told Rolling Stone‘s Larisha Paul: “This is how I see the world. This is my universe. This is what we do. This is what it feels like. What I look like letting motherf*ckers tell me what my world looks like?”

Larger Than Life is the follow-up to Faiyaz’s sophomore album, Wasteland, released July 8, 2022.

The latter project debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 88,000 equivalent units sold. It marked Faiyaz’s biggest opening week.

In September, Wasteland was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for tallying over one million equivalent sales units.

Speaking of the RIAA, Faiyaz’s 2020 EP, F*ck the World, was certified platinum earlier this week. It’s his second project to receive a platinum award following Wasteland.
