Diddy and Teyana Taylor Share Video for ‘Closer to God’

R&B

Sean “Diddy” Combs has unveiled a stunning music video for his Teyana Taylor-fronted song “Closer To God.”

Taylor directed the video, utilizing a deserted region as the backdrop to showcase her bold and futuristic fashion choices and belt her heart out.

Later on, she and Diddy meet up when he rides a horse to her location.

“Closer To God” is lifted from Diddy’s latest project, The Love Album: Off The Grid. It’s the second song from the standard version of the album to have a music video.

Previously, Diddy released a video for “Another One of Me” featuring The Weeknd, 21 Savage and French Montana. It was serviced as the official lead single from The Love Album: Off The Grid. At the time of publication, it has garnered 14.4 million streams on Spotify.

After receiving the Global Icon Award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, Diddy released The Love Album: Off The Grid on his label, Love Records.

The album of collaborations included features from Babyface, Mary J. Blige, Justin Bieber, H.E.R., John Legend, The-Dream, Jazmine Sullivan, Summer Walker, Dawn Richard and Kalenna (Dirty Money) and many more.

Returning to Billboard, Diddy debuted at No. 2 and No. 4 on the Top R&B Albums and Independent Albums charts with The Love Album: Off The Grid. The set also entered at No. 19 on the Billboard 200 chart.

His return on the latter all-genre chart marked his fifth career appearance.

After the release of the original album, Diddy added three previously released tracks to it: “Gotta Move On” featuring Bryson Tiller, “Sex In The Porsche” featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR, and “Creepin’ (Remix)” with Metro Boomin, The Weeknd and 21 Savage.

Diddy’s collaboration with Tiller resulted in a No.1 hit on Billboard and R&B radio, marking the first time he achieved this feat.
