Track Premiere: Concrete Caveman – ‘Feral’

Metal

Concrete Caveman like to keep things short and sweet, describing their death-metal-meets-punk style as “grindcore length without the grindcore label” on their new album Feral. We’ve got the title track for your listening pleasure today and it only takes a minute, so you have no reason not to put it in your earholes.

While the band’s musical approach is closer to death metal with hints of punk, the varied vocal style is really what jumps out: things move from reverbed-out yells to death growls on a dime, with an energetic delivery.

“‘Ferals’ is about wanting to detach yourself from the modern world and live like an animal in the woods,” Concrete Caveman tell Decibel. “We wrote this one right before we went to record and we realized it kinda summed up the general vibe of the record. Technology is dumb, shit sucks, nothing gonna change, it’s just gonna get worse and there is nothing you can do to stop it, dummy. So buy our record now, OK?”
