Gwar to Host Online Showing of Scumdogs XXX Live

Metal

Hail Gwar, our lords and masters, for promising to emerge from their Antarctican stronghold and provide us with the ocular pleasure that is three online screenings of a previously filmed live recording next month.

Dubbed the Scumdogs XXX Live event, this special screening will apparently feature not just the current ranks of Gwar, but some old school favorites like Slymenstra Hymen, Sleazy P. Martini, Sexecutioner and Techno Destructo. Now, if this all sounds somewhat familiar, that’s because this is actually a performance that was shot and broadcasted during the pandemic lockdowns back in 2020.

During all three showings on November 9, the band will be on hand and in the chat room yukking it up with all the bohabs that decide to attend the “once-in-a-lifetime” event. According to the band, the first showing will take place at 9 a.m. ET, the second will happen at noon ET, and the third will take place at 9 p.m. ET. Everyone else in different time zones can figure that shit out themselves.

In addition to the musical performances, which featured the entirety of the Scumdogs of the Universe album, the two-hour film includes special skits featuring those aforementioned characters.

Now, you may be wondering how much this event is going to cost you. $10? $15? $50? Nope. Gwar, in their infinite generosity, are letting their fans pay just a lowly dollar — a single George Washington — for the privilege of watching the show and chatting with Gwar themselves.

Tickets to the online event are available right now at Gwar’s website. You can also catch them live at any of the tour dates listed below.
